VOLUNTEER


We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the various aspects of the Canal Days Run. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Adam Bunz at info@racezone.ca

Volunteer Positions Include:

  • Registration/Packet Pick Up
    • Check-in all runners and walkers. Check information (Name, age, address) is correct. Assist participants and distribute race packet pick-up (Bib number, shirt, goodie bag) and other activities.
  • Course Marshals
    • Course marshals will be stationed at various key points and intersections throughout the race to make sure all participants make the correct turns, ensure that all participants stay on course and have a safe event. Keep spectators outside of the marked course area and cheer on all participants. You may be asked to control some traffic where needed. All course marshals will be provided a safety vest for the day. Dress for the weather conditions to be comfortable.
  • Finish Line Support
    • Writing down bib numbers, times of participants, and handing out water bottles to all participants finishing the race.

Are you a student?

As part of the Ontario Education diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities. These hours must be completed at any time during their years in the secondary school program. You will earn several hours of service for volunteering at the Canal Days Run!
