Come join us for the 3rd Annual Canal Days 5km Run and Kids Fun Run on August 3, 2013! Explore the Canal Days activities, historic West Street, Port Colborne's beautiful waterfront, and the city's unique architecture - all while enjoying the fun, friendship and fitness of this 5km event and kids fun run around H.H. Knoll Park. Features: Route Start and Finish line will be located at H.H. Knoll Park along Lake Erie. It is a flat and fast course! Kids Fun Run!!! Open to kids up to the age of 11, the Kids run will be a loop around the park, approximately 600 meters. Parents with young children are encouraged to participate with their children. HAWAIIAN THEME! All participants are encouraged to wear their hawaiian costumes including their leis, grass skirts, and flower shirts! There will be prizes for those wearing costumes including Best Costume and many more! FINISHERS MEDALS! For all participants! And lots of extras and goodies to given out and seen! We encourage all participants to fundraise for Autism Ontario - Niagara Chapter. There will be special prizes for Autism Ontario fundraisers, and the best thing is - all of the money raised will help local families and children with autistic needs. For every $50 raised, your name will be entered in a draw for some fantastic prizes! You can also register on race day, but a we cannot guarantee you getting a shirt, as well as a finishers' award. We do order extras, but you never know how many people will sign up on race day!
